I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University of Ministry of Health of Ukraine is a leading medical institution of higher education in Ukraine, which prepares highly skilled medical specialists for more than 60 years. TNMU ranks leading positions among institutions of higher education in Ukraine and is known not only in Europe, but also on other continents. During its activities, the University has prepared more than 25,000 specialists for the medical and pharmaceutical industries operating in Ukraine and in dozens of countries on all continents. Today, more than 7,000 students are educated in TNMU, including more than 2,700 foreign citizens from more than 50 countries. In the medical, pharmaceutical, dental faculties, the faculty of foreign students and in six educational institutions, the educational process is provided by 688 teachers, more than 90% of which have a scientific degree of philosophy doctor or doctor of sciences. The University has a powerful material and technical base, which corresponds to world standards for training specialists. Medical bases of the university are located in all therapeutic and prophylactic institutions of Ternopil, as well as in the cities of Rivne and Zhytomyr. The Dental Department of the University Clinic, Centers of Primary Medical Sanitary Aid are included. The best in Ukraine educational and practical center of simulation training, which is equipped with world standards, is active. TNMU is one of the centers of medical science in the western region of Ukraine. Scientific research is carried out from priority directions in the field of natural sciences and medical sciences. The University is a participant in many international scientific projects performed on a grant basis, including Erasmus Mundus Medea and Erasmus +, Recoop, Polonez, Horizon-2020, Poland-Belarus-Ukraine cross-border cooperation programs, BUPAS and POLBUCAN. 12 scientific journals that are included in the List of professional editions of the Ministry of Science of Ukraine are published in the University. For many years, the University ranks leading positions in ukrainian and international ratings, including 'TOP-200 Ukraine', Ranking Web of Universities (Webometrics), '4 International Colleges & Universities', UNIRANK (University Ranking). TNMU is a member of the European University Association, the European Charter of Universities, cooperates with 84 foreign partners from 32 countries. Students and teachers have the opportunity to practice in leading educational medical institutions of Europe and America. TNMU refers to the category of higher educational institutions with the lowest risk, indicating a high level of educational services and internal quality control of education. This is the only Medical University in Ukraine, which in 2021 by the State Service for Quality of Education of Ukraine entered the list of higher educational institutions with the lowest risks.
